Jingye Group is an international conglomerate whose core business is steel, with diversified operations in advanced steel processing, additive manufacturing and 3D printing, new energy, international trade, and health-and-wellness tourism. The Group operates a network of production bases, including Jingye Headquarters Steel, Yingkou Medium Plate, Ulanhot Iron & Steel, Guangdong Jingye Steel, Guangdong Yuebei Steel, Huaxi Special Steel, and Jiangsu Jingye Steel, and currently employs 40,000 people. In 2025, the Group recorded sales revenue of RMB 369.1 billion, ranking 74th among China’s Top 500 Enterprises and 292nd on the Fortune Global 500 list. It has been recognized as an “A+–Level Highly Competitive Steel Enterprise,” an “AAA–Rated Credit Enterprise,” and an “A–Level Environmental Performance Enterprise.”

The company houses a National Enterprise Technology Center and a Postdoctoral Research Station, placing great emphasis on innovation and R&D. Its core product portfolio includes wide and thick plates, cold-rolled and coated/galvanized products, hot-rolled coils, and bar and wire products, and it is recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise. JINGYE Group has embarked on a transformation from pure manufacturing to manufacturing services, firmly upholding the philosophy that “delivering superior products is the best form of customer service.” The company has achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, and its products have been certified by ten major classification societies, the EU CE mark, and green-product certifications, among others. Pursuing an internationalization strategy, the Group aims to become a global provider of steel and metal products, with subsidiaries and representative offices in 32 countries worldwide. Its products are exported to more than 130 countries and regions and are extensively used in sectors such as shipbuilding, offshore engineering, automotive, home appliances, and new energy. Furthermore, its solutions have been deployed in key domestic and international projects, including Beijing Daxing International Airport, Xiong’an New Area, the Karachi Nuclear Power Plant in Pakistan, and the Brunei Cross-Sea Bridge. JINGYE Group is also recognized as an outstanding supplier by leading enterprises such as China Railway Group, China Road & Bridge Corporation, China Shipbuilding Group, Damen Group, and Samsung Heavy Industries.

In active response to the national call to “encourage qualified enterprises to carry out cross-regional and cross-ownership mergers and reorganizations, thereby accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the steel industry,” Jingye Group has undertaken a comprehensive strategic realignment to strengthen and expand its core steel business. In September 2014, the Group merged with and partnered with the Ulanhot Iron and Steel Plant in Inner Mongolia, increasing the plant’s capacity from 500,000 tonnes to 2 million tonnes over six years and breathing new life and vitality into what was once hailed as the “Pearl of the Grasslands.” In September 2020, Jingye Group merged with and partnered with Guangdong Taidu Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., subsequently rebranding it as Guangdong Jingye Iron and Steel. In October 2022, the Group further merged with and partnered with Guangdong Yuebei United Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., thereby accelerating the optimization of its steel-industry footprint. From August 2023 to September 2024, Jingye Group successively merged with and partnered with Huaxi Special Steel, Lianyungang Xingxin Iron and Steel, and Yingkou Medium Plate Co., Ltd., and this well-planned and rational strategic deployment has propelled the Group onto a fast-track of growth.

To drive corporate transformation and upgrading and further enhance competitiveness, Jingye Group has introduced globally leading, cutting-edge technologies—additive manufacturing and short-process thin-strip continuous casting and rolling. At the same time, the Group is making substantial investments in advanced steel processing, gradually developing industrial parks for steel structures, rebar processing and distribution, vehicle modification, and pipe-making equipment, with an annual output value exceeding RMB 10 billion; establishing a large-scale R&D and production base for energy-storage systems to position itself in the new-energy sector; and capitalizing on the growing trend toward healthy development by building scenic areas such as Huangjinzhai, Wangmushan, Dishanyunding, and the Ethnic Culture Park, thereby creating a major health-and-wellness tourism hub in North China. The Group has also launched the “Zanglong Ice Spring” brand of high-quality, health-oriented drinking water; vigorously developed pharmaceutical technology, aiming to become a highly competitive manufacturer of salicylic acid and aspirin; and actively expanded non-steel businesses—including logistics, trade, and finance—to broaden its global footprint.

The company steadfastly upholds General Secretary Xi Jinping’s development philosophy that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,” regards environmental protection as the lifeblood of the enterprise, and strives to become a green, low-carbon benchmark in the industry. It has invested more than RMB 10 billion in environmental protection, adopted advanced domestic and international technologies, and upgraded and renovated its environmental protection facilities, enabling all performance indicators to meet the national ultra-low emission standards ahead of schedule; in 2021, it was recognized as an ultra-low emission enterprise. In alignment with the national dual-carbon strategy, the company has formulated a “Carbon Peak and Carbon Reduction Action Plan” to fully tap into energy-saving and carbon-reduction potential. It has also established a green, low-carbon logistics system, including the construction of a dedicated railway line and an associated intelligent raw-material transportation system, which has reduced heavy-truck traffic by approximately 1.3 million trips annually and cut CO₂ emissions by more than 400,000 metric tons. Furthermore, the company has vigorously greened its plant premises, achieving a vegetation coverage rate of 50%, and has been rated as an A-level environmental-performance enterprise and designated as a “Hebei Provincial Industrial Tourism Demonstration Enterprise.”

Jingye Group rigorously implements all policies and guidelines issued by the Party and the state, is committed to the continued growth and expansion of the enterprise, and has spurred the development of the catering and transportation sectors in surrounding areas, thereby improving the livelihoods of local residents.

Ever committed to corporate social responsibility, Jingye has consistently given back to society by investing RMB 500 million in the construction of more than 100 kilometers of roads, including Gangcheng Road, Huanchang Road, and Nansu Line, thereby boosting local economic development. The company has also made substantial, high-standard investments in the development of Caotugou New Village and Dishan North New Village, contributing to rural revitalization. In 2017, the Group established the Hebei Jingye Public Welfare Foundation with an initial endowment of RMB 50 million, and since then has allocated over RMB 4 million annually to reward outstanding students from Pingshan County; from 2017 to 2025, a total of RMB 37.82 million in scholarships has been awarded. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jingye donated more than RMB 25 million in cash and materials to frontline anti-pandemic efforts in Hubei Province and other regions. In 2023, to support flood-control and disaster-relief efforts in Zhuozhou City and Fangshan District, Jingye contributed RMB 5 million to each of these areas. Over the years, the company has invested more than RMB 800 million in public-service initiatives such as poverty alleviation, disaster relief, road construction, and school building.

Looking ahead, Jingye Group will thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Guided by the “dual carbon” strategic goals and the new development paradigm of dual circulation, the Group will remain committed to excellence and strength, strive to usher in a new phase of high-quality development in the steel industry, and build itself into a globally leading provider of green, low-carbon, and highly profitable steel and metal products. In doing so, it will contribute to the accelerated development of China into a manufacturing powerhouse and a quality powerhouse.
