On April 14, the World Steel Association officially announced the list of “Sustainability Champions” for the steel industry in 2026. Jingye Group was awarded this prestigious global honor in the field of sustainable development for the first time, becoming the second Chinese steel company to receive this distinction. This achievement not only underscores the deep alignment between the Group’s green development strategy and international sustainability principles, but also signifies a new breakthrough in its core competitiveness and global brand influence.

The “Sustainable Development Excellence Award” was launched by the World Steel Association in 2018 to recognize member companies that actively participate in the Association’s sustainable development framework, rigorously uphold their sustainability commitments, and deliver outstanding overall performance. It serves as a globally recognized authority on excellence in the steel industry across such key areas as green and low-carbon practices, social responsibility, and governance innovation.
Jingye Group has deeply integrated itself into the World Steel Association’s core sustainability initiatives, distinguishing itself through comprehensive implementation and innovative achievements. At the industry-cooperation level, the Group has actively participated in the Association’s industry data benchmarking, the specialized collection of carbon dioxide emission data, and the submission of product life-cycle inventory (LCI) data, earning high recognition from the Association. In terms of systemic integration, Jingye has successfully been elected to the World Steel Association’s Life Cycle Assessment Expert Committee and officially joined the 2025–2027 membership of the Sustainability Charter. On the front of innovation and breakthroughs, to gain a stronger voice in shaping industry green and low-carbon standards and to enhance the international competitiveness of its 3D-printed products, the Group took the lead in drafting the “Product Category Rules (PCR) for Additively Manufactured Metal Powder Products,” and was the first to publish on the China Iron and Steel Association’s official website the world’s inaugural Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) report for iron-based metal powders. This initiative was subsequently shortlisted for the World Steel Association’s Life Cycle Assessment Excellence Award, serving as a key pillar of the Group’s recognition.
